Re.: Letter of Recommendation

Gerhard de Koker was an active member of the Nazarene Youth
International -Gauteng District Youth Council from 1997 to 2007 where
he played an important role as part of a team in co-ordinating the strategy of
the over 70 churches in this denomination. 

This activity incorporated training sessions of which he also led a very
successful weekend training camp where 120 youth leaders attended. Many
rallies, concerts and services were held over this period. 

He achieved an Advanced Lay Ministry Diploma in Youth Ministry at the
Nazarene Theological College in Vanderbijlpark. 

Under the banner of Youth Corporation he regularly staged youth events
and concerts from 1999 to 2004. At this point WTB recruited him to be
involved in the Silver Ring Thing leadership team where he arranged shows
in towns all over SA. 

Gerhard was responsible to make the bookings, prepare contracts and arrange
the logistics with schools and churches, as well as being involved with the
daily management of the office team and the travelling show team. Gerhard
managed at times up to 12 employees in the office team preparing and
coordinating shows and the travelling show team. 

Gerhard has a hart for the nation’s youth and passion is to prepare them to be
leaders of tomorrow. To my understanding, Youth Corporation wants to be
involved with strategic projects, events and national networking for
maximum Kingdom impact among the youth.

Gerhard has the potential to network and, in partnership with the church put
programs in place that could develop a strong platform for Christian youth in
the Country.

I will strongly recommend Gerhard to any one or ministry who wants
to partner with him to achieve this goal.
